Most of us remember fondly at least one teacher or professor from our school or university days who was born to teach and so made a positive impact in some way. Tuesdays with Morrie is a poignant true story about a student, Mitch Albom, reconnecting with such a teacher years after leaving university.
Morrie was Mitch’s Sociology Professor. He has a terminal illness and his days are numbered. Mitch visits with Morrie each Tuesday to spend time with him up until his death and in the process receives some valuable lessons on the meaning of life. This is Morrie’s final course.
Mitch documented the conversations with Morrie and while the book is sad in parts, it is also inspiring. It is a powerful reminder to live with no regrets, don’t wait until tomorrow and know what really is important.
