Carter Chambers, played by Morgan Freeman meets Edward Cole, played by Jack Nicholson, in hospital when they share a room (Edward OWNS the hospital). They’ve both been diagnosed with a terminal illness and during their time in hospital form an unlikely friendship. While undergoing treatment Carter writes a list of things he’d like to do before he kicks the bucket. He aptly calls it a bucket list. Edward gets wind of the list and decides it’s a great idea and that both of them will do each thing on the list together (the fact that he’s a multi-millionaire helps). What ensues is very funny and thought provoking. Here’s the trailer;
