If you had to name the one most important ingredient of human beauty, what would you say it is?
The one most important ingredient of human beauty for me would be spirit. By spirit I mean an enthusiasm for living, liveliness, energy and passion – “the force” if you will.
In my opinion, there’s nothing more beautiful in a human being than an unbridled exhilaration for life.
In the words of a little, green, arse whoopin, Jedi Master, “May the force be with you.”

Can I say, ditto? Though I have to admit the afore mentioned ingredient was “passion” to me all this while, but “spirit” sounds better, given that I used the former term to mean just what you say here.
Generousity. Going past what is expected and surprising someone! And I don’t think I spelt it right – sorry
Caring.
Caring from the heart (which I really believe is so, so closely related to “spirit”). I experienced this very deeply recently…and it was such a powerful moment for me…to know that someone cared so much…it’s hard, really, to describe. What I do know, though, is that I could this person’s presence, in my own soul…and it was so meaningful.

I would say joy (which in the end is just another way of saying spirit).
Caring is human beauty. As Leo F. Buscaglia once said. ““Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.” This is the type of person I want to be and hang around with.
I would have to say having ginger hair is a critical ingredient to human beauty!

Hi Sami — yes, spirit or vitality is a very beautiful thing to me as well — I can see it in the aliveness in people’s eyes when they’re focused on being here and enjoying this moment, rather than mentally jumping around through their obligations and problems.
