Mark it in your diaries people, July 1 is officially Joy Rebel Week. The very creative Brandi from Joy Rebel came up with the inital idea of having a national (now international given I’m based in Australia), Joy Rebel Day that’s since turned into a Joy Rebel Week.
If I had my way it’d be Joy Rebel Day every day but I guess we have to allow room for Don’t Step on a Bee Day (I shit you not. This is actually celebrated, apparently on July 10).
Anyway, the point of the week is to focus on joy, whatever that means for you, and make it a priority. I would like to propose a challenge; Your mission should you choose to accept it is to partake in the Joy Rebel Blog Party in honor of the unofficially official Joy Rebel Week by…
- Each day for the entire week, do something joyful, be joyous or somehow spread the joy.
- Post about your week (if you have a blog) and link back to Joy Rebel seeing as it’s Brandi’s brilliant initiative OR leave a comment when I post about my Joy Rebel Week and let us know what you did OR just have a brilliantly joyful week. The choice is yours.
- Avoid stepping on bees.
An awesome idea me thinks. Are you in?

@Veronica
Hi Veronica,
My Mum would cringe at me using “I shit you not” but I can’t help myself. It says so much in such a small sentence!
A Joy Rebel comic book heroine – I love it! Brandi would love it too.
