Today I’m guest posting over at the blog Bob In Oz. Bob is a fellow “Aussie” blogger who I’ve gotten to know through an online course we’ve both been doing (yes, it’s true, my technical ineptitude has resulted in the need for me to do something about it!). We “met” through the course’s forums.

Let me make it clear though, that Bob is not in fact an Aussie, but rather a Pom (Aussie for Brit) pretending to be an Aussie (and doing a damn fine job of it too)!

So why am I guest posting over there? Well for one, Bob and his family fell in love with Australia, made the leap of faith to emigrate here and are now living the dream (how cool is that?). Secondly, seeing foreigners (especially Poms), cope with our deadly snakes, 150% humidity and Vegemite is a national pass-time for any Australian worth their salt. And thirdly, we recently happened to have a couple of Pommie (Aussie for British) friends, Martyn and Gemma stay with us and had the pleasure of seeing them cope with a nudist beach, rain and burnt damper. What better forum to publish such a post than Bob’s site?

To see the full story, head on over to Bob In Oz and see my guest post on How Aussies Entertain Poms Down Under. While you’re there, check out the shenanigans that Bob and his family get up to in their life in Oz.

OMG i’m shocked and appauled you didn’t put up the crazy picture of Tiffany or close ups of the finished damper! Now thats just unPom. The crazier the better haha!

Yeah, well, I value my friendship with Tiff and my reputation as an A class damper cooker so I guess I’ll just have to be unPom eh? ;)

So you’re just doing your part to keep the national pastime going, huh! Fun read over there Sami! You should really work for the AUS tourism department – people would be flocking in to see those wild snakes!
    Have fun at the beach…

You know me Lance, I can’t let my fellow Aussies down. Haha, yeah I’m pretty sure the Australian Tourism would prefer I left the bit out about the snakes, and perhaps the rain, and probably the burnt damper!
