Early tomorrow morning my friends, I board the giant tubular winged beast, commonly known as an airplane, bid farewell to Aussie shores and say, “Aloha Hawaii!”
What awaits? Well as far as I know, a wedding, a tennis tournament, some Daisy List action, a Banff reunion and a few cocktails of the day.
Apart from that, Chris and I have an uncanny knack of attracting craziness so no doubt I’ll be full of stories upon my return. In the meantime, I have some kick arse guest posters who are kindly manning the ship while I’m away. Be sure to welcome them with open arms like I know only you guys can!
Oh, and you’ll also still see the Weekly Kick Arse Questions coming through (thank you WordPress God for inventing the scheduling feature).
Just know I may not be able to respond to comments on accounts I’ll be lying on a beach, cocktail of the day in one hand, cocktail of the day in the other hand and a giant tennis tournament grand champion trophy strategically placed beside me for all to see.
I know, I know, it’ll be tough but with a cocktail of the day or two I’m sure I’ll make it through. Take it easy guys (you know I will be)!

Have a blast Sami!
And have a cocktail for me! And with that wicked serve you have (hey, after all those workouts – you’re arms are referred to as guns, I’m told) – I pray for mercy for your opponents!
Enjoy the beach, the shenanigans (I know there will be…), daisy-listing it, Chris, the wedding, and that big ol’ trophy!!
Aloha!
@Lance
Thanks Lance! Happy to have a cocktail or 7 for you and as for our opponents praying for mercy, the only mercy they’ll be praying for is that we actually get a shot IN so they can have a game! I’m sure we’ll dazzle them with our uniforms though! See you when I get back!
Have an awesome time Sam!! Enjoy the wedding and make me proud – make sure the bar is holding you up at the end of the night! The reunion will be unreal, wish I could have been there for it. Big hugs all round to everyone, especially when you see Robyn at the airport!! Take it easy mate xx
@Jade
Hey Mate, thanks very much! I’ll do my best. Wish you were going to be there. Don’t worry, I’ll be sure to pass on your hugs (especially for Robyn). xxx
Hey Sam. Hope you enjoy the hard life of Hawaii. Can you slap robyn for me for not being in Perth and for not meeting us in Brisbane. Don’t hug her for me whatever you do
@MartYn
Hey Martini, as it happens I have Robyn sitting right beside me. AND we’re in the QANTAS club lounge having free drinks and all you can eat buffet! By the way, too late, we’ve already done the slow motion running towards each other with arms outstretched from one end of QANTAS check-ins to the other (and I’m pretty sure the music from Chariots of Fire was playing in the background too). If I have another drink I might think about giving her a slap for you (and tickle)!
Wheeeee, have a wonderful trip, Sami! Since I woke up to a coating of snow the other morning, your Hawaii trip is sounding even better. LOL
And yeah, love that WordPress!
