GreenPrint is a Portland based company who’ve developed software that eliminates unwanted pages when printing documents from web pages. The software helps you save paper and ink in 3 ways.

  1. It brings up a preview that highlights typical wasteful content (my technical term for this is gobbledygook) so you can print only what you need.
  2. It lets you easily save web pages as PDFs reducing the need to print at all.
  3. For rough drafts and other unofficial documents, you have the option to print to a designated printer that only uses paper that’s already been printed on one side.

GreenPrint have also developed a font called Evergreen which is designed to fit more characters on each page whilst still being easy to read. The company says the Evergreen font uses 15 to 20% less paper than Arial or Times New Roman fonts.
