Hey Sami,
Good job! That was so cute to watch and fun to see you in action. I hope the person behind you appreciated it. (Thanks for the link! -- another random act of kindness.) ; )

Hey MartYn,
Yeah, I've also heard of stories where a guy holds a door open for a girl (to be polite) and she has a go at him for whatever reason. It's incredibly rude (in your instances and this one) and it breeds this "why bother helping I'll just get snapped at" attitude which of course is the exact opposite of the attitude you have when you do a random act of kindness. It's awesome to see you have the latter attitude MartYn. Don't let a couple of negative experiences stop you from continuing to have that attitude. The problem is not with you, it's with the couple of people you've had poor experiences with (maybe they were having a REALLY bad day or something). I can guarantee all the people you have helped where it's been a positive experience (which I'm sure would be the majority) would have been very grateful and you probably made their day. Thanks for your comment!

Nice one Sami, i too like to do random acts of kindness even if it's just small things like seeing someone can't reach something high at the supermarket ill go over and grab it for them as im quite tall. But today an old lady tried to make me feel bad for not helping her. I saw her struggling up some stairs with her shopping bags, the lady in front of me also saw this and was going up to her to ask her if she needs help. So i walked up the other side of the steps leaving her to it. The helper lady said "Can i give you a hand with your bags" the old lady replied "no i'm ok thanks, i would have thought that young man would have offered but he didn't". I mean jeez did i do something terrible or is it just me that thinks i did nothing wrong? Also i've been snapped at by other old people i've treid to help, because they want to be independant and never need help from anybody, which is fine, but why be so snappy and mean about it. It kind of puts me off wanting to ask people if they need help :-(

Hey Ma,
Yeah, it would be nice to think it gets paid forward but if not, that's fine too.

Hey PP,
That's too funny! I wonder if the car behind me was confused too. Hopefully the toll lady explained it to them.

Someone has actually done this for me and it was wonderful!! I really felt great when I didn't have to pay my toll (I was also very confused about it until later when my father told me that sometimes people do this...it never occured to me!). That's so nice of you to do that for someone!
