Lisis from Quest for Balance recently opened a can of worms with her Net Worth vs Self Worth: The Passion Paradox post. The “can”, was busting open the myth of “following your passion and the money will follow” and the “worms” were countless comments, emails and response posts by readers and other bloggers. Note: I use the term “worms” in the nicest possible way of course.
Judging from the amazingly thoughtful responses, different perspectives and varied opinions, it was most definitely a hot topic, with many people weighing in on the passion vs profit debate.

Yes folks, I’m back! I’ve returned from my adventures in Hawaii a little browner, pudgier and poorer than I left. Saying it was a fun trip would be a gross understatement. I am likely however, to be in Mai Tai detox for the next 6 months.
Not surprisingly I have more than one story to impart, some life lessons learned, a major Daisy List goal ticked off and a comical experience with an out of control, bright blue, 3 wheel moped we affectionately called the Smurfette Mobile (let’s just say I am grateful to still be here to recount the story). Early tomorrow morning my friends, I board the giant tubular winged beast, commonly known as an airplane, bid farewell to Aussie shores and say, “Aloha Hawaii!”
What awaits? Well as far as I know, a wedding, a tennis tournament, some Daisy List action, a Banff reunion and a few cocktails of the day.
