I haven’t been part of the blogosphere for all that long (not even 12 months). To say it was a whole new world to me would most certainly be an understatement. Previously I would have guessed that “blogroll” was some sort of army move to avoid gunfire and that “RSS” meant, “Really Sophisticated Shit”. You’ll be pleased to know, my knowledge in this area has improved.

What fascinates me about blogging though, is the power it has to change the world for the better. I’m constantly amazed at all the amazing projects, causes and movements people have started. The best part is, blogging allows them to go global.

I recently received an email from one such person who is on a mission to make the world a better place. Lance from The Jungle of Life has become a great blogging friend and it’s my absolute pleasure to introduce you to a project he has started with fellow blogger, Joanna Sutter from Fitness & Spice.

In Lance’s own words; “We’re working together to raise money to support breast cancer research through the Susan G. Komen foundation. October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this really seems like the perfect time to do this. As our way of raising money to support this very wonderful organization, we’re creating an e-book which we’ll then sell, with 100% of the profits going to the Susan G. Komen foundation.”

There are 2 ways you can help;

If you’re a blogger, you can be part of the creation of this ebook. Choose a favourite post from your site and email it to Lance or Joanna to be included in the ebook. The deadline for submissions is Friday, Oct 16.

Regardless of whether or not you’re a blogger, you can buy the completed ebook for $5.

And why wouldn’t you buy it? It’ll be full of humour, positivity and inspiration AND you’ll be helping to find a cure for breast cancer seeing as 100% of the profits are going to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Susan herself died from the disease. The foundation is in her honour and is run by her sister.

To find out more about this most excellent project (and for Lance and Joanna’s email addresses), head on over to The Jungle for all the details.
